Tooth-Colored Bonded Fillings
We can resolve mild to moderate dental decay, small chips, stains and gaps between teeth using this wonderful, proven technique. Special composite resin materials are blended in a color carefully chosen to match your tooth, applied to it, then customized into the proper contours and hardened (bonded) in place with a visible light curing technique. In contrast to traditional silver fillings (amalgams), we can create a filling that complements your tooth color and blends in to create a more natural looking smile. The vast majority of composite resin fillings can be performed in a single office visit depending on the condition of the receiving tooth. Unlike the more traditional silver fillings, composite resin fillings are bonded to the underlying tooth structure by adhesive dentistry techniques, helping prevent leakage under the filling material and subsequent dental decay.
