At-Home Teeth Whitening Procedure
Stain on teeth can be extrinsic (on the outer surface) or intrinsic (within the tooth itself). Whitening procedures focus on the more common extrinsic sources of poor tooth color/stain. Cigarette/cigar smoke, red wine, green/black tea, certain foods and their cumulative exposure over time can lead to changes in the color properties of teeth (hue, value and chroma). Based on your needs, we will select from a variety of different whitening gels. Placed in a custom-fabricated tray for each arch of teeth, the whitening gel will brighten your teeth safely when used as little as one to two hours a day for as few as two weeks. We'll record your initial shade and monitor the changes over time as you develop a whiter and more pleasing smile.
